Easter Wishes

Spring is most definitely in the air in my neck of the woods! We’ve been treated to some exceptionally warm temperatures. It IS Ohio, so who knows what tomorrow will bring… or the next hour for that matter! But hey, I’m so ready for it and am celebrating spring today with a sweet Easter card I put together for you.
My card began with a rustic ivory base and the background from the Fern and Daisy Pop Up Easel Set. I cut this from a pretty spring green and glued it down using liquid glue just on the oval portion of the die cut. Don’t you just love all of those wispy little sprigs framing the oval!
The Nordic Basket was cut from a pretty peach cardstock then adhered to the oval. I though about popping this up, but decided to keep it flat for mailing purposes.
Next came the sweetness. A pair of darling bunnies and colorful Easter eggs. The eggs are included in the Nordic Basket set. I cut them from the rustic ivory cardstock then Copic colored them.
Here’s a closer look. A few sprigs were cut from the Fern and Daisy set to tuck into the basket. I colored them a darker green for contrast. The eyes and ears on the bunnies were Copic colored too.
The Easter Wishes sentiment and butterflies were cut from pale yellow cardstock. I love using glue on just the butterfly bodies when I add them to a card. This lets me pop up the wings for added movement.

I love it! Beautifully put together and so clever to put the snippets in the basket with the eggs. The leafy background makes such a perfect frame for the adorable bunnies and their basket. Utterly charming, Lisa!
