Challenge Reminder: Pattern Paper
by Allison Frazier

Hello Poppystamps friends! I am popping in to remind you about this month’s challenge! On the first of every month we announce the challenge, and you get most of the month to join us. Just create a project following the theme, use at least one Poppystamps image or die, and link up your design with any online gallery like Flickr, Splitcoaststampers, Instagram, etc. We select one card that we like best as the monthly winner and then randomly select one entry as the winner of a gift card to the store.

For this month’s challenge, our theme is “Stencil or Pattern Paper.” I admit that this is no challenge for me, since I am obsessed with pattern paper! The only challenge is choosing which one to use!

I chose this sweet daisy pattern from the Birthday Fun paper pad. I cut it down to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and adhered it to an A2 card base. For my die cuts today, I cut all of it from white card stock and then used some yellow and blue ink to color the few elements that I needed to color. The star of the card is the Nordic Adorable Bunny. I did use a light pink marker to color the ears and the cheeks.

The frame and panel are from the Scalloped Pinpoint Frames. I left the middle panel white, and just added a soft blend of yellow ink in the middle so that the white bunny would stand out. I ink blended the frame with the same yellow. I stamped a sentiment from the Balloon Celebrations stamp set on the white panel.

For a final touch, I added some daisies around the frame using the Daisy Trio die. I hope this card brings a smile to your face today. Thank you so much for joining us on the blog. We can’t wait to see what you make for this month’s challenge!
