How about a little fall birthday love today? The cutie little Nordic Acorn Squirrel is delivering a prized acorn to the recipient!
After die cutting all of the pieces, I colored his body and big fluffy tail with Copic Markers. He’s dressed in a warm layered sweater cut from colored cardstock scraps. I attached the Copic Colored acorn to his paw.
The background was layered using two Fine Eyelet Frames. As you can see, the top panel was also cut with the Nordic Floral Plate for added interest. I used a double sided adhesive to keep the pieces intact. There is a little vine included in The Nordic Acorn Squirrel set. I created a heart with it! The birthday sentiment comes from the Balloon Celebrations Stamp set.
A trio of tiny rhinestones for touch of sparkle and it’s ready to be sent! Actually, this one will probably be hand delivered to our soon to be 12 year old granddaughter! She used to love collecting acorns on our fall walks when she was in pre-school. Wow, that flew by!
