Nordic Layered Ornament
by Birgit Norton

Warm Winter Whites are making an appearance with this pretty Nordic Layered Ornament on this CAS card.  Let’s hop right in to how this card came about.

I started by cutting the Nordic Layered Ornament three times out of the papers shown above.  The patterned paper is a snippet from my scrap box, the glitter paper is from the Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad and the aqua colored pieces are from the Lagoon 6×6 Cardstock Pack.  One of the many things I enjoy about using the Nordic dies is that you get three of each shape once you’ve cut the layers and assembled them.  I’ll have two ornaments to use on future projects.

Next, I cut the Simple Floral Bundle out of cream colored cardstock and the Mini Forest Plants out of a deep green cardstock from the Leafy 6×6 cardstock pack.

I played around with the floral design and finally decided on this layout.  You can see how pretty the ornament is when it’s made using paper from the Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad.  I topped the Nordic Layered Ornament off with the Little Bow and String, cut out of gold mirror cardstock.

I added a sentiment from Holiday Wishes Foil Greetings Black Tabs to finish it off.  So pretty and festive, don’t you think?

  1. CAS and absolutely BEAUTIFUL Birgit!! That Nordic ornament is soooo pretty and I love the soft aqua colors you used. The “greenery” is the perfect touch along with that sweet gold bow and string, and the gold in the sentiment is the perfect finishing touch! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
