A Pocket Full of Blooms

There’s something so calming about a fresh green and aqua color palette, and I loved bringing those colors together on today’s card. The layered florals paired with the soft patterned background give this design a light and cheerful feel while still keeping plenty of dimension and detail. I also added tiny gold accents throughout the flowers for a little sparkle and shine.

Creating the Background

For the background, I started with a patterned paper panel from NUTMEG FOREST 6X6 PATTERN PAPER PACK in a muted olive green shade and layered a white die cut stencilled with stripe stencil in soft green. This die is FINE EYELET FRAMES. The combination of crisp white and soft pastel tones helps the flowers stand out beautifully.

Building the Floral Arrangement

The floral cluster is the main focus of this card. I die cut the flowers using NORDIC PETALGLOW FLOWER with bright aqua and teal cardstock shades and layered them together for extra dimension. I tucked in several leafy elements in different shades of green along with a few soft neutral accents to balance the brighter colors.

To add texture and interest, I embellished the flowers with gold glitter stickles which coordinate nicely with the thin gold border under the sentiment strip.

Adding Dimension and Details

I wanted the arrangement to feel full and dimensional, so I used foam adhesive behind some of the layers. The little flower pot created with NORDIC SCALLOPED FLOWER POTS grounds the design and adds a cozy touch to the overall composition. I also love how the scalloped frame draws the eye inward without overpowering the focal elements.

The sentiment strip finishes the card perfectly with an encouraging message: “Keep growing, keep glowing.”

To complete the design, I adhered everything onto a white A2 card base and paired it with a soft green envelope for a coordinated look. This card would work beautifully for encouragement, friendship, or even a spring birthday.
