A Christmas in July Birdhouse
by Lisa Elton

The new Nordic Birdhouse is just as sweet as it can be and goes together in a snap. I created mine using white, powder blue and glittery cardstocks.

See what I mean, isn’t it cute! What a I like about it, is that it’s not just for the holidays. This sweet die set can be used anytime of year.

But as my post title says, this is a Christmas in July birdhouse, so I went sparkly with some silver and put in those pops of red! As you can see here, I doubled up the pretty little bow included in the die set. The berries on my holly (Nordic Holly Sprig) were made with a simple hole punch, but there is a die for them included.

What’s a birdhouse without a bird? Our new Nordic Valley Bird was created with the same glittery white cardstock used on the birdhouse along with cranberry and white cardstocks. I used a Copic marker on it’s tummy, eye and beak.

I thought the lovely Nordic Fancy Background die provided a “snowlike” background. My thoughts were of the paper snowflakes we used to cut out in elementary school. Remember those? You folded the paper made cuts, then unfolded for the reveal!

I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty with some Christmas in July creations! Pop over to the shop to check out the new release, take a peak at the idea book while you’re there. There will be more to come from the team too. Just wait until you see all of the fabulous cards they’re created with the new dies!
