Challenge Reminder: Things With Wings
by Jennifer Harte

Hello Friends! This is a friendly and quick reminder to join the Poppystamps monthly challenge. The July theme is “Things With Wings,” and there’s still time to play along!

I had so much fun with this challenge, because I love butterflies and birds. For my card, I used shimmer paper from my stash and die cut it with the Scalloped Pinpoint Frame set. I added a glittery Fringed Heart as a focal point.

Next, I randomly added various shades of metallic watercolor paints to a sheet of mixed media paper. After it dried, I die cut the Poppystamps Nordic Nestled bird and Nordic Cheery Butterflies from the paper I watercolored.

The butterfly set includes four dies that create two butterflies. I love these butterflies and think they will be perfect on many cards.

To keep things “clean and simple,” I arranged the dies with the Nordic Nestled Bird in the center of the Fringed Heart Frame with both of the Nordic Cheery Butterflies around it.
My sentiment is the “Hello Spring” die, but I only used the “Hello” part since the dies are separate. A great way to stretch your supplies! Again, I used the mixed media paper I watercolored. Since, the die doesn’t have layers like the bird and butterflies, I did add an extra layer for some dimension.

You can read more about the monthly challenge and see beautiful inspiration from the design team by clicking the “New Challenge” tab at the top of this blog. To be eligible to win, make sure to use at least one Poppystamps product. When you’re ready to share your card, scroll to the bottom of the challenge page and add your card.
I hope my card inspires you to join the July “Things With Wings” challenge! There’s still time to have fun and share your project. We’d love to see what you make! Once you enter, you are automatically eligible to win a $20 Poppystamps gift card.
