Happy Birthday
by Karen Letchworth

It’s always FUN creating birthday cards, and Poppystamps makes it so easy. For this sweet card, I started with two layers of basic white cardstock, and I cut the top white layer using the Heart Pinpoint Die. What a fantastic way to create a beautiful background for any card. Next, I attached the (second smallest) frame found in the Fine Eyelet Frame Dies and placed all those sweet balloons around this frame. The balloons I used can be found in the adorable Festive Balloons Dies.

To create the distressed look, I simply rubbed the white cardstock with various pastel oxide inks. I splattered the ink with a bit of water and added some acrylic paint splatters as well. This is a quick easy way to add distress and vintage charm to your images. I did pretty much the same thing at the bottom of the card where I added the sentiment using the Happy Birthday Tender Script Dies.

Poppystamps really does make it easy to create lovely cards. Why not grab yourself a background die, some fun image dies, and come play along with us in the monthly Poppystamps Challenges where you can WIN a gift card to spend at Poppystamps. You’ll also find lots of great inspiration on the Poppystamps Facebook Page and IG Page. Thanks so much for stopping by today, sweet creative friends.
