A Masculine Happy Birthday
by Lisa Elton

I have a masculine (ish!) birthday card to share with you today! I know… who is this person LOL! Like so many of you, masculine cards are a bit tough for me. I think this one will work for one of the many summer birthdays we have coming up. Let me break it down for you.

It starts simple enough with a kraft card base and a rustic ivory mat. The mat was made with the largest of the Scalloped Pinpoint Frames. I’ll save those scallops for another card.

The Nordic Long Stem Mushrooms were added to the largest of the Nordic Pattern Rings. I also tucked in a couple of leafy stems from the Mini Forest Plants set.

Here’s a close up of those wonderful mushrooms! All of these items were cut from rustic ivory paper and ink blended for my colors.

Next, I added the rest of the rings. One was tucked under the large one and the last two adhered in the front. My guy liked this layering part of the design!

A simple birthday sentiment from our parent company, Memory Box and a few gold rhinestones finished it off. Guys like rhinestones too, right?

Well did I pull it off, its is masculine enough? I hope so and I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty. Have a great day, friends and thanks for visiting with us!
