Challenge Reminder
by Jeanne Jachna

Hi friends!  It’s Jeanne here today and I want to remind you to play along with our November challenge – Fall Frolic!   We’re looking for all things Fall – and the first thing that comes to mind for me is colorful leaves.  Whenever I’m  on a walk with Moriko (my fur baby) I pick up little treasures I find.    Sometimes I find a feather or a shiny rock… once I actually found a turtle that seemed lost.. but this time of year you’ll find acorns and pretty leaves in my pocket.

I’m inspired by what I see – and while I haven’t found any purple, pink or blue leaves on my adventures, I think I would like to! I like to use unexpected colors to add a playful look to my designs.

When you link up a project to our challenge your automatically entered to win a $20 gift certificate to the store.  You dont have to have a blog to link your design – you can link to Instagram, Flickr or any other on line gallery.  We’re also a super sponsor of the Fall/Winter Coffee Lover’s Blog hop.  If you add a coffee element to your design you can link it to their challenge and ours so you have twice the chance of winning.    They have LOTS of sponsors!   You have to hurry though because their linky closes on November 8.   You can get all the details here!

The Poppystamps challenge on this blog starts on the first of every month and this time our linky closes on November 28.

I started my card by cutting the Leafy Ornament Frame from red card stock.  I replaced the side and center panels with yellow/orange card stock pieces.  They’re all adhered flat onto a 4.5″ square card base.

Next I added the Classic Coffee Cup to the center of the frame with adhesive foam tape.  The raised mug makes it easy to tuck colorful leaves and berries underneath.  To get lots of contrast I chose leaf colors different than the background (die cut frame) colors.   A Simple Hello die cut sentiment fits perfectly in the bottom corner of the frame.

What’s better than a nice warm cuppa your favorite to warm you when you get home from a long walk on a crisp fall day?   It’s the simple things that make life great!
