Challenge Reminder: Keep it Simple!

Hello Poppystamps friends! I am popping in to remind you about this month’s challenge! On the first of every month we announce the challenge, and you get most of the month to join us. Just link up your design with an online gallery like Flickr, Splitcoaststampers or Instagram. We select one card that we like best as the monthly winner and then randomly select one entry as the winner of a $20 gift card to the store.
For this month’s challenge, our theme is “Keep It Simple.” I admit that I am cheating a bit with this challenge since I love keeping it simple when it comes to Poppystamps. I just think their dies are so wonderful that they stand on their own!
For my card, I picked a couple of the mushroom sets from the recent Nordic Forest release. The orange mushrooms are the Nordic Long Stem Mushrooms, and the blue mushrooms are the Nordic Swirl Mushrooms. I used an off-white card stock for the stems and grunged them up a bit with Frayed Burlap distress ink.
My card base is the Kraft Woodgrain paper, but I ink blended a darker brown ink over it to get this rich color. I cut the Happy Fall die with the same off-white paper that I used for the stems. Easy peasy and oh, so simple, right?
