Purple bouquets
by Michelle Woerner

Hi crafty friends! Michelle here with 2 cards featuring the Handpicked Bouquet die set. They are mostly the same except for the sentiment and cardstock layers.

To start the cards, I die cut the flowers and greenery with 3 shades of pink/purple and 2 shades of green. I love that all the flowers are on 1 die, so you get multiple flowers with 1 pass (same with the greenery die). I also die cut the flowers in black, this is because you layer the flower with the “open” center over top the matching solid black flower. I think black centers for flowers make the colors POP!

I assembled the flowers and arranged them with the greenery inside the bouquet “wrapping”. I then folded the sides and adhered it closed. Each card version has a different sentiment, one uses uses the Hello sentiment die cut from glitter cardstock from the Majestic Hues, and the other uses a sentiment from the Sentimental Banners stamp/die set.

Oh and see the stems peeking out at the bottom? The greenery pieces are not long enough to reach the bottom of the wrapper, so I snip the ends off and adhere them so they peek out. I think it gives a more balanced look.

I added some black splatter and a small bow as the final touches on each! I hope I’ve inspired you to pull out your flower dies and make a few colorful cards. And be sure to check out the new Dog Days of Summer collection!
