Another Doggone Birthday

Hello Friends! It’s “Pawty” time with the new Poppystamps Dog Days of Summer release!
I’m sharing a playful card featuring the new Curved Dachshund die. I started by die cutting the adorable pup from plain white cardstock and blended various shades of brown. I tried to replicate the beautiful markings of a Dachshund I saw online, but I don’t think I did him justice. This die set also includes three bones and several fun balls (which I didn’t use this time). What dog doesn’t like to play fetch?
For my background, I blended soft shades of blue on white cardstock for a light and airy sky. I spattered gold paint to add some sparkle. Next came the balloons because every birthday party needs them. My search for the perfect balloon dies is finally over—I love the Poppystamps Balloon Celebration set (I only used the dies for this card.)! The variety of sizes and shapes are perfect!
I die cut many balloons in cheerful colors and popped them up with some foam adhesive so they looked like they were floating around the birthday pup! The new Poppystamps sentiment— “yappy birthday” tied everything together. Can you spot the tiny heart I added?
