A Truckload of Flowers
by Lisa Elton

The Country Pickup turned out to be a great delivery vehicle for my project! My floral designer brain saw pots of flowers in this cute retro truck. Polka dot pots at that! The truck had to be a fun color too. No ordinary delivery truck, a snazzy teal one!

After building the truck, I popped in a trio of Nordic Scalloped Flower Pots. Each layer was cut from light gray polka dot paper. I framed the truck using just the outer portion of the largest Scalloped Pinpoint Frame. I used a Copic marker to color it light gray.

When it was time to fill the pots, I reached for the Nordic Flower Bunch die set. I cut the flowers with red cardstock to pick up those red brake lights on the truck. The leaves were cut from lighter shade of aqua to coordinate with teal truck. I popped on some aqua and clear Christmas Fairy Dewdrops for flower centers. Not sure why that one looks green, must be the lighting!

A simple sentiment tab by our parent company Memory Box was the perfect fit for the tailgate. Now I ask you, wouldn’t you be thrilled if this cute pickup pulled into your driveway with a flower delivery like this just for you? I would! Polka dot pots, yes please!

  1. Oh Lisa, you hit this one out of the park. The blues, teals and reds all come together to make this such a striking card. Love the metallic for the bumper as well. Lovely details and a fabulous card.
