Nordic Sweet Angel Decor

Hello friends. Since it is September 11th and we remember the victims and heroes who lost their lives, I’m sharing an angel project. I’ve got a trio of home decor and gift items for you today. They could be used for a small gathering of friends, cardmakers, a children’s party. My thoughts were to make a napkin ring, a bookmark or tag, and an ornament for a tabletop or regular sized Christmas tree. For these projects I used 2748 Nordic Sweet Angel, 2791 Scalloped Framer Tags, and 2806 Merry Christmas Fluffy Script dies.

Here is a close up photo of the pretty little angel. The pretty layers and dainty details give her the perfect festive touches for the holidays. I used three shades of pink card stock and also added a dab of chalk for rosy cheeks, plus sparkle to the wings with a Wink of Stella pen. Her hair could be any color you wish but I stuck with a light color this time. I made a circular “loop” of card stock behind the angel to form the napkin ring and attached it with strong tear tape to the angel.

Here is the ornament and a bookmark or gift tag I also made with the angel as the star of the show! The bookmark/tag was die cut using only the outside scalloped die (each size tag die is two parts: the scalloped outer die and the inner tag die with a hole for ribbon or twine.) I wanted a clean and simple look for the tag so that the angel gets most of the attention. I added the Merry Christmas sentiment without its shadow/outer mat die to make it fit easily in the space. The ornament is just the angel and silver cord attached on the back side.

See how pretty the script is on this sentiment? I love that star on the “i” in Christmas! Here you can better see her rosy cheeks and every detail on the dress and wings.
