Been Too Long
by Allison Frazier

Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am excited to be back on the blog today sharing this colorful card full of texture. I love layering die sets, but when you can combine two separate dies to make them look like a layering set? That’s pretty special. This card also features a new word die from the Dog Days of Summer Release.
I started by choosing three bold colors of card stock. I cut the purple piece with the Penelope Pinpoint Frame. I cut the deep turquoise piece with the Double Diamond Lattice Plate. Once I glued these two panels together, I added a lighter shade of turquoise to the back. I just love how the diamond lattice frames the pinpoint detail of the purple layer underneath!

This word die is one of many dachshund themed word dies that are part of the new collection, which obviously also includes some new dachshunds. But, I thought it was a cute sentiment to use even without one of the pups. I cut it three times from white card stock and layered them for dimension. I added a subsentiment from my stash underneath it. I then chose some little birds to add to the design. These come from the Nordic Birds of a Feather set. I can’t get enough of these birds…they’re just so cute and easy to add to any card design.

That is it for my card today. I hope it brings a smile to your face! Thanks so much for joining us on the blog.
