Textured Elegance Holiday Card

Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing an elegant card that can be used for any winter holiday or even a birthday!

I started with the Nordic Birdhouse, cut from white Woodgrain paper. To highlight the woodgrain, I rubbed a brown Distress Oxide ink pad over the raised areas. I backed it with red cardstock.

For the A2 size background panel, rather than diecutting the Diamond Oval Pinpoint coverplate, I decided to emboss with it. I love the pretty texture without taking attention away from the scene. I adhered it to a gold metallic cardstock mat and attached that to a card.

I diecut 2 branches from some already inked paper I had in my stash. I diecut the Nordic Valley Bird from white cardstock and ink blended each layer in red and black Distress Oxide inks to resemble a cardinal. I attached the birdhouse to the panel with foam tape for added dimension. To highlight the gold mat, I diecut both the bell and sentiment from the same cardstock
