Winter Greetings

Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am so excited to share this card today because it features several products from the brand new Nordic Wonderland Collection! I am just in love with these new products. July is normally the time when I start building up my holiday card stash, so the timing of this collection was perfect. The hardest part of making this card was having to choose which products to use – I can’t wait to use them all!

I started my card by assembling the adorable Nordic Playful Penguin. He is so cute, right?? I love everything about him, but my favorite part is probably the hat. I used three different shades of turquoise card stock for his clothing. There are two dies in this set. One cuts the penguin parts, and the other cuts the clothing. You can cut it all from white card stock and then color the pieces with ink or markers. I did color the feet and nose with a Copic marker, but otherwise, I cut all the pieces from colored card stock. 

I started assembling the card by glueing a panel of patterned paper onto a white card base. This paper comes from the new Yuletide Cheer paper pack from Memory Box. I used two dies from the Nordic Wintertide Border to create a white field of snow for the bottom of the card. I glued white card stock behind this border, which has cutouts. I love the tone on tone texture this gives! I used the new Nordic Treeline to add to my scene. These trees are so adorable – the tops of the trees look like they’re smiling! I glued the trees behind the Nordic Wintertide Border and then adhered all of it down to the card base.

For my sentiment, I used the new Holiday Banners stamp and die set. I heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock with white embossing powder. I cut it out with the matching die and then popped it up on thin foam squares. To finish the card, I added a little bit of snow at the top. I created the “snow” using some of the cutout pieces from the Nordic Wintertide Border. The little star shape comes from the Flower and Leaf Sprinkles set.
