Happy Birthday

Hello and welcome! I hope your summer is going well and all of your flowers are blooming! I thought is was the perfect time to bring the Brilliant Geraniums out to play. I’ve added them to a birthday card today. Let see how things started, shall we?
I die cut the blooms then did just a touch of inking to their centers. Then the fun began… layering them up! I was trying to mimic a pretty pot of geraniums we gave my mom for Mother’s Day this year. Fairy crystals were added to their centers for a little added pizazz.
Now, where to put those pretty blooms? The Nordic Lacey plate was a good fit. I kept it simple using white cardstock.
The Happy Birthday Poe Script sentiment was cut from MB patterned paper then added on the diagonal. This left me plenty of room to frame it with the flowers and leaves.
I love the depth and dimension you can get by layering these die cut petals and the leaves are pretty fabulous too. My husbands youngest sister has a birthday next month. I think we’ll hand deliver this one instead of letting it get flattened in the mail!
