Summer Release Blog Blitz Begins!

I made an Asian inspired card today featuring two of the new dies – the Graceful Heron and the Stitched Rectangle Frames set.   I was going for an Asian look on my card using gold accents. 

I started with a watercolor background in red, orange and yellow.  I added Stitchwork Rectangle Frames in gold and white around the outside of the card base.  The largest frame in the set is the perfect size for an A2 Card (4.25 x 5.5").  I didn't cut my dies apart so the spaces in between the dies are perfectly spaced and are nice to use as well.   I cut a whole sheet of frames at a time and kept the extras for another project.  You can see the pretty detail on the Stitchwork Frames here.  It consists of stitches and die cut tear drops that run around the entire frame.  The white in between the two gold frames is the piece left over when you cut the attached dies. 

I triple cut the heron stacking the dies to make a thick chipboard piece to adhere to the watercolor background.  The detail on the heron is gorgeous and easy to see on the gold foil!

Of course the frame set is to “DIE” for, (no pun intended), but to own it, opens many possibilities giving your framing a whole new look on your cards. Gorgeous card, Wonderful die!
