Diamond Pumpkin
by Marybeth Lopez

Hi there! Marybeth here today with a diamond pumpkin shaker card! I love how this turned out!

I used Poppystamps Carved Diamond Pumpkin and cut it twice, sandwiched in between is a clear pouch

of mixed sequins and beads I made with the heat tool. I seamed the pouch to the shape of the pumpkin.

I also used foam tape three layers thick cut in very thin strips.

For the leaves I used the fun Stitched Pumpkin Leaves from Poppystamps. To color the leaves I used distress inks in crushed olive and peeled paint.

The sentiment is Give Thanks Brushed and only used the thanks , it’s layered twice.

I wanted to keep the card kinda simple since the die is already pretty intricate. I wish you could see this

card in person. Hope you like it!

  2. A Marybeth masterpiece! The die is exquisite and you showcased it’s beauty perfectly! You gave this pumpkin an elegance! Love the idea of the seamed bag too!

  3. When I first saw that pumpkin die, I wondered how in the world it could be used. One of the reigning queens of shaker cards knew exactly what to do. Marybeth, this card is a knock-out, as usual. I’d give anything to have your sure-footed sense of composition. (My friends on card-making day usually have to say, “Stop already! You have enough on that card!”) I will need to enjoy CAS through you, my friend. Thanks for sharing another one of your perfect gems.

  4. Maybeth, this card is special, but really want to tell you how much I enjoyed your Look Book, especially the Christmas ornaments!
