Welcome to the Poppystamps Holiday 2016 Blog Blitz! We hope you have been playing along with us all week long, and seeing all the great inspiration and ideas from our design team as we share with you our favorite stamps and dies from our latest release! Today, I've got a bright autumn card made with the new Trim Tree!

This branching tree is gorgeous! There is so much wonderful detail on the tiny branches and twigs. Imagine how this tree is going to look in a winter snow scene or as an Easter tree with tiny eggs! Today I went with bright and beautiful autumn.

I started by painting a background panel with watercolor, then cutting out nine tiny squares and arranging them in a simple grid pattern. I added the Trim Tree, then cut fiery red-orange maple leaves from the Leafy Breeze die. This combo works so well together that you'll want to put them both on your wish list at the same time! Then I added the colorful Sly Fox! This card reminds me why Autumn is my favorite season for card making!

  10. Love that tree and all the ideas you have for it and the sweet little leaves, not that we have many maple in the UK but they look a little like sycamore leaves too. That fox is super cute and what fab male cards he could be used for, thanks for sharing.

  20. I love foxes… I’ve see one from time to time when going out at night with my dogs (I leave in town, so it’s not the best place for him, or her as a matter of fact : I did not see it close enough to find out !
    Your card is gorgeous, your did a fabulous combination of all these dies.

  23. Hi Michele, I love your watercolour ’tile’ background, and the stitched squares look lovely, the trim tree is lovely and ‘full’ and can be used for all ‘seasons’, and Mr Fox finishes this card off beautifully. I love this !!

  25. Once again Michele, you have pulled me out of my literal ways! That nine square background is the PERFECT foil for the detailed tree limbs, and that fabulous little fox. I will try a background like this soon and see if I can shake up my stodgy ways. Thank you for your inspiration.
