Exquisite Branch
by Jeanne Jachna

2Can you believe it's November already?  I'm just getting used to the idea that Summer is gone and now it seems like Winter will be here before I know it.  Time goes fast enough, no reason to rush it right?  So let's enjoy the now!  It was a beautiful day in the Chicago area so I took my fur baby Miss Moriko for a walk.  The fall foliage put on quite a show for us, and we were quite entertained by all the mischievous squirrels we saw!

It inspired me to make this beautiful fall scene.  I started with the Exquisite Branch background die – its perfect for an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5").  I cut this and the Frisky Squirrels from black card stock.   I added only portions of the die in blues and yellows, inserted like jig saw puzzle pieces.

I secured the pieces on the back of the die with washi tape.  Next I added adhesive foam tape and secured the die cut on a panel of bright orange before I secured it to a white card base.  You can really see the depth / window effect it added here.

The sentiment is from the new "Falling For You" stamp set.   I stamped it on a Classic Ribbon die cut.

Here is the finished card.  The stained glass look is absolutely stunning!  Enjoy the now! Hugs!

  1. Hi Jeanne, This is a beautiful autumnal card, I love all the ‘undulations’ you have put into this scene, and it is definitely a beautiful stained glass effect. I love it !!
It has brightened up my day, my weather here is dank and drab and really depressing, so this is a lovely uplifting effect.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
