Fall Thank You

Hi everyone. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!  I love Fall with all of its beautiful colors, and I have a pretty simple card with a Fall theme to share with you today.

The A-2 card base is cut from white card stock.  I embossed a separate piece of white card stock cut at 5.5” x 3.5”, adhered a strip of rust card stock along the bottom edge, and then glued the assembled piece to the card base.  I cut one Massa Leaf Frame from green card stock and shaped some of the leaves to make them pop.  I measured the center of the frame, which is approximately 2” x 2” and cut a square piece of white card stock just slightly larger to glue behind the opening only at the very edges so that there would be a surface for the phrase.  I cut the Maple Leaf Border from white card stock, and using Distress Inks, I first covered each leaf with Scattered Straw, then sponged on Dried Marigold, Rusty Hinge, Peeled Paint, and a touch of Fired Brick.  I also sponged the edges of the leave with Peeled Paint. It’s so much fun to see how different each leaf turns out and the Distress Inks make it so easy to blend the colors!

I added a “Thank You” rub on to the white space, attached the leaves with mounting tape, and adhered the assembled piece with mounting tape to the card front.  I thought the leaves would look nice with a little glitter, and I added some green gem stones for good measure.  If sending fall cards is something you normally do, I think this card could be duplicated pretty quickly.  Hope you enjoy!
