Penguin Merry Christmas
by Ilina Crouse

Hi everyone,

Ilina here. I am super excited to join the Poppy Designs Design team and share my first card on the blog.

For my card today I used the Coffee Penguin 2801, Merry Christmas Fluffy Script 2806, Trimmed Trees 2794 and Fine Eyelet Frames 2764 dies.

To make the card, start by die cutting all the elements needed from cardstock colors of your choice, I went to purple and aqua colors. Die cut the sentiment three times and stack the die cut in order to create dimension.

Next, assemble the penguin, I had the beak layer die cut in orange, since the eyes were also on the same die , I used black marker to color those portions black since they were on the same die. Assemble the coffee cup, or use it as is. I cut out the trim from the blue cup and adhered on top of the purple, to create interest and dimension.

Arrange the elements on the Eyelet Frame (I used the second from the largest) to see where you would like the trees to go , the penguin and sentiment.

Once you like the placement, adhere all the elements. Use foam tape for the penguin. Adhere the frame to an A2 panel from purple cardstock to match the coffee cup using foam tape. To finish it off use a white gel pen to add highlights.

Next, create an A2 Size top folding white note card ( 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of white cardstock scored and folded at 5 1/2″)

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have an amazing day!
