Birthday Wishes Times Two
by Lisa Elton

Hello, friends! I have two pretty little birthday cards for you today featuring our Nordic Luminelle Flower. After creating three layered blooms, I added them to Scalloped Pinpoint Tags cut from Cream Woodgrain paper. One was added to the outer portion of the tag and the other two, the inner portion.

First up I used the outer tag design. An inner tag was cut from creamy paper then cut again with the Diamond Oval Pinpoint Background. This was layered onto a cream card base.

The Cute Bow, cut from matching pink cardstock, was added to the top of the tag. The layers on this bow just add to it’s cuteness!

The smallest of the Scalloped Pinpoint Tags went on horizontally with a sentiment from the Balloon Celebrations set added. I cut another of the flowers centers in red to pull the design together.

Card number two began with a creamy base topped with the Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame. I wanted a little more of the creamy card base to show around the edges, so I trimmed the background die down a bit. Once again, I used the same pretty pink cardstock that was used on the flowers.

Speaking of those pretty flowers, here’s a close-up for you! The first red layers was added to the tag with liquid glue. The next two layers went on with foam dots. The leaf die comes in two parts. I chose to use just the top portion today.

I added kraft twine to compliment my sentiment stamped in kraft ink. Don’t these colors just make you happy? They do me!

Do you have a favorite? I think one of these will go to my mom for her 86th birthday next month. I just have to decide which one!

    1. What a sweet set of cards, Lisa! I love the way you tucked the leaves and flower inside the frame on the first card. Such a neat detail. The heart background is so sweet ad provides the perfect backdrop for the cute tag.
