Cozy Tea Cup Birthday Card with Nordic Flowers
By Jyoti Adhikari
For today’s card, I created a cozy and cheerful birthday card featuring the Nordic Cozy Tea Cup as the main focal point. I paired it with the beautiful Nordic Luminelle Flowers to create a floral tea cup arrangement, which gives the card a warm and inviting feel. The soft colors combined with the detailed dies make this card feel special but still very easy to recreate.
Pattern Paper Background
I started with a piece of pattern paper from Memory Box for the background. I love using patterned paper because it instantly adds interest without needing extra techniques. This particular paper has a soft color with gold lines, which worked perfectly with the tea cup design and gave the card an elegant look.

Creating the Floral Tea Cup
Next, I die cut the Nordic Cozy Tea Cup and added the Nordic Luminelle Flowers and leaves to create a floral arrangement inside the cup. I used foam tape to add dimension to some of the flower layers so the arrangement would look fuller and more interesting. I also added a few small gems to the flower centers for a little sparkle.

Adding the Decorative Frame
To frame the focal image, I used the Nordic Fringed Heart Frame behind the tea cup. Even though it is a heart, it works beautifully as a decorative frame and adds a soft, lacy detail behind the cup without overpowering the design.

Finishing the Card
I finished the card by adding the Happy Birthday Tender Script sentiment at the bottom right of the card. The layered sentiment stands out nicely against the patterned background and balances the focal image perfectly. This card came together very nicely with just dies and patterned paper, no stamping or coloring required, which makes it a great design when you want to create something beautiful but quick.

Hugs,
Jyoti
