Retro Petal Flower
By Allison Frazier

Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am excited to be back up on the blog today sharing this clean and simple and somewhat retro card featuring a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I love mixing die sets together, and that’s exactly what I did here.

My card started with what is the star of the show, and that is the Nordic Pretty Petal Flower. I cut the flower base from white card stock and the detailed petals from black glossy card stock. I needed a stem, though! For that, I turned to the Nordic Bellflower set, which has this long swoopy stem. I cut that from white card stock and then added some black glossy leaves, which I found in the Nordic Stems set. Like I said, a little bit of this and a little bit of that!

I love green and black together. It’s such a striking combination, but it’s also very retro or mod. I used the Scalloped Pinpoint Frames to create this green panel from Memory Box Cilantro card stock. I only used the pinpoint panel – I saved the scalloped frame for a future card. I glued the green panel to a white A2 card base and then glued my elements on top. For a pop of color, I used Memory Box Golden Wheat card stock for the center of the flower.

The hello sentiment is from the Hello Spring set, and I love how you can use the hello separately. It’s such a simple and sweet word die. That is it for my card today. Thank you so much for joining us on the blog!
