Whimsical Nordic Birds

Hello Friends! I love birds, so couldn’t resist the beautiful Nordic Birds of a Feather die set. Birds make me smile and I hope my card brings a little joy to your day!
To begin, I ink blended several panels of white cardstock with colorful inks that made me think of the colors in my garden. Then I die cut many of the Nordic Birds. Poppystamps makes it so easy to assemble the birds with the helpful diagrams on the back of the packaging. I started mixing and matching the colorful pieces and ended up having lots of extras for future projects.
I wanted to keep my background simple. I chose to use the Nordic Sweeping Branch and not do any coloring or ink blending. I die cut the branch three times and randomly placed the branches on an A2 card base. The white-on-white background adds texture and interest and allows the birds to shine!
I topped it off with a simple “Hello” sentiment. I die cut the shadow with some leftover scrap paper that I ink blended for the birds (to tie everything together) and used plain white cardstock for the sentiment. Can you spot the tiny hidden heart I added to the scene?
