Hot Diggity Dog
by Lisa Elton

Hot diggity dog, this little fella is happy to be playing catch! Just look at him leaping through the flowers to retrieve that ball!

This card began with a white panel and the Paw Print Stencil Set. I stenciled a few paws in opposing corners They’re a little darker at the bottom and lighter at the top as if his run through the blooms cleaned his paws a bit.

The Leaping Dachshund pieces were all cut from kraft cardstock with parts Copic colored. He’s glued on in just the center of his body so I could tuck the flowers under him. No sweater for him today, it’s been far too hot!

I used the tennis ball from the Curved Dachshund Die Set. I’m quite sure it has a squeaker in it!

He’s enjoying his game of catch among several Heart Flowers that were scattered diagonally across the card front. The fun sentiment was cut from the same green cardstock that his ball was.

Once the focal panel was completed, I added it to a black mat and then the white card base. I also sprinkled on a few of the tiny hearts, left over from the flower centers, to further express this little guy’s joy! I hope you’ve enjoy my card today. A little happy, a little fun!
