A Sweet Nordic Lamb with a Floral Burst Background
By Jyoti Adhikari

Today I’m sharing a card that I created using some charming new dies from Poppystamps—and oh, this one just makes me smile every time I look at it. The Nordic Joyful Lamb Craft Die is the star of the show here, and I paired it with the beautifully detailed Nordic Floral Burst Background Craft Die. These two work so well together to create a delicate, whimsical look with a sweet Nordic flair.

Inking Up the Adorable Lamb

To start, I die cut all the pieces of the lamb from pale pink cardstock. I wanted to give the lamb some softness and dimension, so I brought in Distress Oxide ink in Victorian Velvet to gently blend around the edges of its body and the tuft of fur on its head. For the outfit, I used Victorian Velvet again on the inside layer and paired it with Shaded Lilac on the outer piece. Once all the layers were ready, I assembled the lamb—and honestly, isn’t it just the cutest?

Creating a Soft and Shimmery Background

The background was created using the Nordic Floral Burst Background Craft Die. I die cut the panel from plain white cardstock to showcase all that intricate detail. To bring in some color, I softly ink blended Shaded Lilac at the top and Victorian Velvet at the bottom of the die-cut panel. Beneath it, I added a shadow layer using a piece of white glitter cardstock from the Glitzy Glitter Pack. This step added the perfect amount of sparkle, as the glitter peeks through the floral pattern so beautifully. Foam tape between the two layers helped enhance the dimension.
