Somebunny Special

Hello! I am adoring the new Nordic Spring release. I used the new Nordic Bunny die along with the Nordic Happy Bunny die for this spring birthday card. How adorable are these bunnies? I die cut the bunnies and colored with my alcohol markers. I added some details with my white gel pen. Its hard to see in the photo but I covered them with a glitter brush so that they would look a little like sugared bunnies that you see at Easter.
For the card panel, I used a kraft cardbase and die cut the Nordic Floral Burst Background from white cardstock. I adhered this directly to the kraft card base. I love the lacey details of this background die and there are many ways that you can use these background die cuts to add interest to your card. I was going to layer a piece of vellum on top of the die cut, I have done this with cards in the past. Here is an example. As I was trying out different colors of vellum, I got the idea to wrap some vellum around the card panel. As I started to mull around that idea, my mind went into a total different direction! I love when the card design starts going in a different direction!
I used the For Some Bunny Special die to create the sentiment. I die cut from cardstock and then found matching vellum. I wrapped the same colored cardstock with the vellum and layered the sentiment onto the layered panel. I liked that it helped to ground the sentiment and provided a place for my bunnies to perch! I totally love how this card idea turned out! I hope you do too! Check out the new Nordic Spring release!
