Double the Merry
by Allison Frazier

Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am excited to be back on the blog today sharing this adorable Christmas card. I couldn’t decide between the Nordic Joyful Elf or the Nordic Sweet Elf for my card, so of course I had to use both! They’re so adorable together, right? This is a very clean and simple card because I wanted all of the detail on those elves to stand out. I feel like I say that a lot on this blog, and I usually am not a clean and simple card maker! I think it’s just the nature of these Nordic dies that, once you assemble them, you don’t need to do much else to have a fabulous card!

To start this card, I die cut all the pieces with white card stock. There are actually only three dies between these two elf sets, so it makes it fast and easy to cut it all out. I then used inks to ink blend all of the colors for the layers. I used three different shades of green and one shade of red for the clothes and hats. I used a couple shades of ink to get the skin color for the faces and two shades of brown ink for the hair. I colored the boots with a dark grey marker. I assembled both elves with liquid glue.

Once I was finished with the elves, it was time to move on to the sentiment. I cut the Merry Christmas Moonlight Script die twice from white card stock. I ink blended one of those layers with the same red ink that I used on the elves. I then glued that layer on top of the other white layer. This die does come with an outline/shadow die, but I chose not to use that on this card. Isn’t this font fabulous?
Next, I covered an A2 white card base with a piece of plaid paper from the Memory Box Yuletide Plaid pack. I added a white panel and then glued a green scalloped frame around it. I glued my elves and sentiment on, and my card was complete!

I love how this card turned out, and I hope it brings a smile to your face. Thanks for joining us today.
