Hello
by Lisa Elton
Hello and welcome! I’m popping in today to remind you that you still have time to play along in our September challenge. We’re looking for all things clean and simple. Let me show you how I put together my inspiration card.
The lovely Nordic Fancy Background, from our latest release, was my starting point. It was cut from white cardstock with the shadow background cut from vellum. This created that perfect “lots of white space” commonly used in CAS cards.
A few simple elements were cut to add a pop of color. The pretty little Nordic Plumed bird (that I happen to LOVE… just look at her little tail feathers!) along with a trio of Nordic Flower Heads.
Since the bird had shimmery gold accents, I used more gold for the sentiment and brought in more vellum for it’s shadow background.
And there you have it, friends. Clean, layered and ever so simple! We do hope you’ll join us this month!

CAS and absolutely BEAUTIFUL Lisa!! I love that gorgeous background and your sweet little blue bird and flowers POP right off that background! LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
BEAUTIFUL! Love that background piece — oh my, and the sweet bird too, which all pairs so well in your pretty colors
Hi Lisa, This is the most detailed CAS card I have ever seen, it is beautiful, the background is stunning and the bird is beautiful.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Oh, my! This is truly adorable! So sweet! I don’t know why I haven’t purchased that bird yet.
Lisa, this is CAS perfection – and has the prettiest ‘white space’ ever! I’m sure your little bird is a ‘tail flicker’ right? Who could resist flicking that darling tail!?

Sweet birdie atop the lacy background, Lisa – love the lagoon colors with the white!!
Love the white on vellum background and all the pretty elements!
I can’t even stand how much I love this, Lisa. That lacy background is just so gorgeous. I love the bird and the flower heads, and the colors you gave them stand out so beautifully against the stark white.
