Let It Snow
by Allison Frazier

Hello Poppystamps friends! I am happy to be back on the blog today sharing another card featuring some holiday cheer. Since I recently used the new Nordic Happy Snowman, I decided to revisit the Sweet Nordic Snowman from last year. They’re very similar, but each has its own personality. I paired it with some patterned paper with a snowflake design.

I cut all of the snowman pieces from white card stock and then ink blended the clothing with Distress Inks. I also cut some of the pieces from gold card stock. This ties into the gold foiled snowflakes that are on the background. The background is from the Memory Box Yuletide Cheer paper pack. I love the foiled details on this paper. But, I did want to tone it down so that the snowman and the sentiment would stand out. In order to tone it down, I cut a smaller panel of vellum.

The sentiment is the new Let It Snow Moonlight Script die. I cut the detail layer from gold card stock, and I cut the outline layer from white card stock. I ink blended the outline layer with the same inks that I used on the snowman’s clothing. Once I glued these pieces together, I glued it and the snowman to the panel of vellum. I then glued the vellum to the card base, making sure to only put glue behind the snowman and the sentiment. I also put a tiny dot of glue on the center of three of the snowflakes. This allowed me to have more of the vellum attached to the card base. To cover the glue, I added gold pearl embellishments.

I hope this card brings a smile to your face today! Thank you so much for joining us.
