Hedge-Hugs
by Jeanne Jachna

Hello my crafty friends! I hope you’re staying safe and healthy! Today I’m sending you hedge hugs with this simple card with lots of details!

This card starts with a Distress Oxide inked panel of Spun Sugar, Candied Apple, and Mustard Seed. The creamy pigment ink is easy to blend for quick coverage. The panel is topped with the Meadowblossom Frame die cut. The panel is slightly smaller than an A2 size card so the inky edges of the panel can peek from behind.

I added a Luscious Script Hugs in the middle of the heart with a simple sentiment from the Valentines Fairies stamp set. I adhered it to the card with adhesive foam tape so it is raised from the base of the card.

I cut a Whittle Hedgehog from white card stock and colored it with Copic Markers. I colored the entire image in light violet (BV00) and then added a little cheek blush and color to the ear with R01. Finally I added highlights to the fur and nose with BV04). I tucked him in under the hugs sentiment.
The finishing touch is the addition of colorful jewels to the flower centers. I love the extra sparkle and shine.
Hedge-hugs and love to you! Have a great day!

Hi Jeanne, This is a lovely colourful and happy card. I love your choice of colours for the background, and the frame is gorgeous, and the hedgie is so cute, but I see the hedgie as a ‘she’ haha, she is so cute.
Stay safe, stay well and take care.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
