February Challenge: Animal Menagerie
by Michele K. Henderson

Hello Everyone!

Are you playing along with this month’s AH-MAZING challenge, Animal Menagerie? Poppystamps has so many adorable animal dies that selecting a small handful for my Animal Menagerie project was tough! I finally decided to send a big bold Hello from my new home state, Florida! Take a look!

I created this card using some of my favorite sea creatures from our Whittle Animals designs, along with the Whittle Palm Tree, the Whittle Mounds, and a tiny Florida die I had in my stash. The Hello Outline was perfect to say, Hello from Florida, come down for a visit! Even though the Whittle Gator does not live in the sea (they are fresh water animals), they are an iconic part of all things Florida!

I started out by cutting out all the little creatures that I would use for my card, and then laid out my design.

Once I had my Animal Menagerie all figured out, I then grabbed my inks and got busy! I inked the edges of all the animals, the palm tree, the sandy mounds and the Florida with ink a little bit darker than the cardstock. There are all sorts of ways to ink up a cut image, so I just added a little bit of edging and shadows to give the animals dimension. What will You create?

Now it’s YOUR turn! Create your own Animal Menagerie card, using at least ONE Poppystamps die or stamp, and add it to our Challenge Link here on our blog before the end of the month. One lucky winner will be selected to win a fabulous prize!

Thanks so much for joining us today!
