Blog Blitz Beautiful Butterflies

Hello everyone! I’m Tina and new to the Poppystamps design team. I’m so excited to be here and to share with you my first blog blitz post for the summer release. There are some goegeous dies and stamps and you can shop them here.

I started by covering a panel of white cardstock with double sided tape and cut this with the Beautiful Butterflies sidekick frame. I left all the pieces in and adhered the whole panel to my card base. I then pealed off the tape backing ONLY from all the pieces in between all the butterflies. Placing the panel on a piece of computer paper I covered it with WOW! Jade sparkles. A fair warning, you will have glitter everywhere!

I folded the paper over the panel and burnished the glitter with my bonefolder. Just look at all that sparkle! Isn’t it gorgeous?!

I die cut the frame 4 more times and layered them on top (remembering to remove the rest of the tape backing). Before placing the final rectangle inlay I stamped a sentiment from the Butterfly Greetings stamp set.

The finishing touch was adding butterflies for dimension. I cut them with the die that comes with the frame. I bent them just a tiny bit and adhered them to the frame, matching the size to the butterflies on the frame. I also heat embossed 3 butterflies with WOW! Emerald Green embossing powder, which matches the sparkle. Can you tell I love this color?

Love that this die has the open window so you can add a sentiment or additional details. The little details around the edge/border of this die are a perfect added touch to this die’s elegance too!
