It’s That Time of Year
by Nancy Penir

Hi and Happy Holidays everyone! Nancy here today with a card made some of the new dies from Poppy.

I’m absolutely in love with the new Whittles, and LOVE how they all work together.

I created my own textured background by using the smaller Whittle Wood Frame die, and cutting it several times from stamping masking paper. (You can find it on Amazon, I used Inkadinkado.)

The masking paper allows for effortless inking with a sponge tool. I then added some white opaque droplets onto my card front. When all was dry, I cut out a window for my Whittle Rudolph, inking it around the edges in light blue. My frame is cut several times and inked as well.

If you look closely at Rudolph, you can see that I inked him a bit around the edges to give him depth, and lightened his mane with a white pencil. Can’t forget to mention the cute little red rhinestone nose!

Hope you’re inspired to try something new, (if this is new to you), with your backgrounds and dies.

Happy Crafting!
