Spring Blog Blitz Begins!
by Jeanne Jachna

Oh what a great day for a visit!  We've got some new dies to share and that means we're having a blog blitz!  During the blog blitz we'll be showing projects made with the newest release and giving you a chance to win on every single post!  Today I'm sharing the new Dandelion Stem!

I started this card by making a colorful background of borders cut with the new Pretty Stitches die set.  The set has three borders with different stitching, and different shaped eyelet cuts.  I started by creating a panel of bright yellow paper and then adhered the stitched borders from the bottom of the panel to the top.  I  cut each border 1 1/2" wide.  I spaced the borders measuring 1/4" from the top of the cut hole in the border to the bottom  edge of the die that is layered above it.

Dandelions always get me thinking of when I was a child… we'd pick them when the heads were dry and full of fluffy seeds, blow on them and make a wish.

I cut two of the Dandelion Stems so that I could snip some of the little seeds from one of them and make them look like they are floating in the air!
2Do dandelions make you think of wishes too?  I'm wishing that you are the lucky winner of this pretty die!

Want to enter to win the Dandelion Stem?

Let me fill you in on all the details ok?

  27. Hi Jeanne! What a fabulous first card for your blitz!
This knocks my socks across the room. I love the cascading colors. (I know you must say what company makes these fabulous colors, but I can never find a reference to it, and I WANT them too.)
Those stitch border dies are fabulous and you really let them shine. The white dandelion with its blown seeds is fantastic, and the white really pops on your background. The “wish” completes a perfect composition.
So glad I stopped by today, because life has kept me from participating fully in anything on the net. (Sometimes I’ve gone three days without even turning on my computer. It has its plus and minuses.) You don’t need to enter me in the contest, because I just wanted you to know how much I LOVE this card!
Hope all is well in your hotel,
    Marcie

What a beautiful Spring card so bright and cheerful and although dandelions are usually thought of as weeds when they have gone to seed I think there’s just something a little magical about them.
