Inlay Heart
by Sue McRae

Welcome everyone, Sue here with a blog blitz post featuring Valentine's Day goodies and products from the new 2017 release.

Today I'm using the Inlay Heart die as the focal image of my card. I took water colour paints in yellow, orange, pink and red and covered a sheet of water colour paper with no particular plan. Just some fun messy painting. Then I die cut the heart from this piece and and inlaid it into the yellow card stock.

I took one of the dies from the Delicate Stitches set and placed it below the heart, leaving enough room to add my sentiment later. I ran it through my Big Shot and it left a pretty pattern in the card stock. I also decided to embellish the two top corners using this die. The Delicate Stitches set contains three dies which don't cut through the paper, they cut the pattern into the paper. Great for adding pretty details anywhere on your project.

My last step was to die cut the Scribble Thank You from the yellow card stock and then die cut it from black card stock and inlay it.

I am giving away the Inlay Heart die to one lucky person who leaves a comment.

Remember to comment on every blog post from January 9 – 23 for your chance to win the featured die. Some days there will be two posts so make sure to check back often.

Wishing you a crafty day!

  26. That inlaid heart is loaded with possibilities, and Pam, you made the die sing. Your whole card is done with inlays, and those “stitches” took it all up a notch. Thank you for the note that the dies would only emboss the image and not cut any of it out. For my money, there can never be too many hearts, even when it’s not Valentine’s day. Thank you!

  27. The Inlay heart die is a wonderful size and design! I love your vibrant card 🙂
