Flickering Butterfly

Alcohol Inks, Border Die, Butterflies, Flowers, Thank You Card

Hello all, Sue here with a post featuring the new Flickering Butterfly Collage die. There are so many possibilities with this die!

I started off by colouring a piece of glossy card stock with alcohol inks in purples and blues. I die cut a square using the Pinpoint Square Layers, placed the butterfly die in the centre and sent it through my Big Shot. Then I flicked some gold paint on the butterfly panel.

The alcohol ink piece was adhered behind the butterfly for all the pretty colours to peek through and I adhered this to the card base.

I die cut the Blooming Dotted Border from purple card stock, stamped the sentiment and added a strip of glitter tape.

I added a few black pearls to finish off the card.

Start with a fabulous die, and add a drop-dead gorgeous color palette with spot-on embellishments, and presto, you have a masterpiece. Your alcohol inked paper is beauty in its own right. (Forget-me-nots and lilacs are among my favorite flowers and you’ve captured their radiance with your color choices.) Thanks for making me think of spring on a cold rainy winter day!
