It’s a Blue, Blue Christmas
Greetings from southern California! I’m bringing a sparkly blue Christmas your way today with my Blue Christmas card.

My folded card size is 5” x 5”. I cut another white panel 3.75” x 4.75” and before sponging the background through the Memory Box Garden Birch Trees stencil using Stormy Sky Distress Ink, I tore a piece of paper and slipped it between the stencil and the card stock as shown.

Here is the result after the sponging was finished and the stencil was removed.

I applied glue to the masked area, and sprinkled it liberally with coarse glitter.
Next, I took a strip of double sided sticky paper and adhered it to a piece of card stock, then die cut one Small Fremont Pine Outline and one Small Fremont Pine Background. After peeling the sticker liner from the die cuts, I thoroughly covered them with Liberty Blue Glitter Ritz, and burnished them with my finger to set the glitter.

I cut another Small Fremont Pine Outline from green cardstock, removed four “rungs” from the bottom, and applied Wink of Stella clear glitter brush over the top. I slightly bent the trees in the middle and applied glue only along the side edges to adhere them to the card where shown. This gave them a dimensional look.

I cut two Garden Sprigs from two shades of green card stock, and glued them where shown. I covered my favorite Nestled Bird die cut with the glitter brush and used mounting tape to adhere it on top of the sprigs.
I removed the small “merry Christmas” letters from the Merry Christmas Background die, covered them with Stormy Sky and then the clear glitter brush and glued them them as shown. I adhered the now assembled piece to the card base with mounting tape. I folded a length of blue sheer ribbon, tied a length of sparkly yarn to the ribbon and adhered it to the left side of the card, finishing it off with what else but a few gem stones for bling.

I’m so glad you stopped by, and I hope you enjoy this card.
