Etiquette For Ladies

Hi everyone! It's Ira again on our last day of the Valentine's Release of Poppystamps. Really hope that we have given you plenty of ideas on how to use the new beautiful dies! Since Poppystamps is a division of Memory Box, we have also been playing with the new stencils. There are numerous possibilities to use them: with paste, inks, sprays, glitter and dry embossing, which is what I wanted to show you today. I just love that intricate and very delicate pattern of this stencil! I have this lovely book written in 1894 by Mrs. Ruth Smythers. Nowadays the texts are hilarious, but in those days? Anyhow, years ago the ladies in my country used to bring these beautifully adorned silver bibles to church; I tried to mimick these and made a cover from metal foil for my booklet and then inked it up with black ink to give it a more intense, old silver look:

Close up – I added the bookcase key as key closures and some rhinestones to give it a more feminine look. The metal adornment is a broken piece from an old belt.

Don't you just love this text?:

Would you like to win this fabulous texture stencil? Then kindly leave your comment here, you have until January 24th to do so. Thanks!
