Nordic Acorn Squirrel – Two Ways

Have you seen the AWESOME NEW Holiday Cheer 2026 Release items? Well, I can’t express to you how incredibly cute they are. Today I’m sharing a card featuring the NEW Nordic Acorn Squirrel, but I’m sharing TWO different versions of the same card. My first version (below) is very busy with patterned papers. For this reason, I decided to create a second version which you’ll also find further below.
I used the lovely Eyelet Frame Dies for all the pretty background pieces. I love how you can layer the Eyelet Frame Dies and also how you can thread baker’s twine or jute, etc. through the holes for added texture. It’s become a fast favorite of mine. I think you’ll LOVE it, too. Once all my patterned papers were secured in place, I got to the really FUN part of this card which is the fabulous NEW Nordic Autumn Acorn Squirrel. It’s SO sweet!
So, that’s the first version. For the second version of this card, I used more of the solid ivory paper and the Eyelet Frame Dies making it a bit less busy. I also splattered everything with various colors of Distress Spritz. FUN! I just adore those sweet little acorns. Once I started cutting them, I couldn’t stop. Just look at all the lovely details in the acorn caps.
Just TWO die sets from Poppystamps is all it takes to create this card. All the wonderful detailing in these wonderful dies make them SO pretty. Even those sweet foliage swirls are found in the Nordic Autumn Acorn Squirrel Set. I just LOVE this set so much. This is also a great way to use up your patterned paper scraps, and it’s SO much fun dressing this adorable squirrel.
