It’s Butterfly Season!

Hello Friends! The butterflies are fluttering around my garden and enjoying all my flowers. They inspired today’s card. I couldn’t resist using the two beautiful butterfly dies from the Nordic Daydream release: the Nordic Whisper Butterfly and the Nordic Cheery Butterflies. I already have quite the collection of butterfly dies, but somehow can’t pass up a new one. Do you have a favorite die you just can’t resist?

For my background, I chose a lovely piece of paper from the beautiful Memory Box Anemone Grove pad. I die cut it using the largest die from the Scalloped Pinpoint Frames die set—definitely one of my go-to dies!

To coordinate with the patterned paper, I selected paper from the Memory Box 6×6 Lagoon and Stormy Blue cardstock pads. The focal point of my card is the Nordic Whisper Butterfly. I die cut the butterfly in two colors and then combined them to create one layered butterfly. 

The Nordic Cheery Butterfly set creates two butterflies, but you can create even more by not layering them. I ended up with four. To create the look of butterflies fluttering away, I arranged them in varying sizes and added dimension with foam adhesive tape. 

To finish the card, I added the “Hello” sentiment from the Hello Spring die set. I couldn’t resist adding a bit of sparkle, so chose some clear jewels from the Autumn Fairy Jewel set.
