Challenge Reminder

Hi, friends it’s Lisa here today with a reminder about our monthly challenge! We’re looking for MONOCHROMATIC cards. I chose blue as my color, it seemed wintry to me, but you can pick any color you want to! You’ll find all of the details by clicking on our NEW CHALLENGE tab.
I used the pretty Nordic Resting Cardinal to make a blue jay! All of the pieces were cut from white and Copic colored. I did the same with the Nordic Sweeping Branch. The largest of the Nordic Pattern Rings was cut from our Powder Blue cardstock then filled with the Diamond Oval Pinpoint Background. A sentiment from the Sentimental Banners stamp and die set was stamped with a coordinating blue ink and tucked under the bird’s beak.
I grounded this group of focal elements with two strips of Nordic Border Set die cuts. This went onto a white panel and then the card base made from the same Powder Blue cardstock I used for the Nordic Pattern Ring.

I don’t think I ever thought about how much a cardinal and blue jay look alike because of their dramatic difference in color. Your switcheroo worked fabulously. I love all of the elements you used in your wonderful monochrome card. Everything goes together so beautifully and yes, it is very wintery!
