Hi Poppystamps friends! It’s Rachel here with a lighthearted, encouragement card featuring the Poppystamps “Leaping Dachshund” and “Long Dachshund” dies. Aren’t these dogs super stylish with their light attire and stately posture?!
Patterned, pearlized and glitter paper enhances the card.
To create the card I blended distress oxide inks on watercolor paper. Metallic gold paint splashed lightly on top is applied. After drying, I cut it down to approximately 3.75″ x 5.5″ and adhered it to a white cardbase. Next I die cut the dachshunds in browns and greys. Before gluing the pieces together, I used a Sharpie marker on the area where the eye is located, adhered them together and chose “Birthday Fun” patterned paper for their sweaters. Then I diecut the sentiment in a pearlized aqua from the “Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad”. Arranging the pieces, I glued everything down.
Finally the aqua pearlized ball and the glittered bones diecuts from the “Curved Dachshund” set embellish the card. Pastel Fairy Jewels too!
