A Simple Hello
by Allison Frazier

Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am excited to be back on the blog today sharing this clean and simple card featuring the new Nordic Petalpoint Bird. This cutie is just one of the new birds in the Nordic Forest release. If you haven’t seen the release yet, be sure to check it out!

I started my card with the Nordic Lavish Border Set. I used the smallest border die from this set and cut it from three different shades of green cardstock. I then cut strips of the same color cardstock and glued those behind the corresponding border pieces. This gives each piece a tone on tone look, while still keeping all that texture! I glued these to the bottom of a white A2 card base, leaving some white space below so that the design of the border die is still visible.

Next I cut the pieces for my bird. I used white for the body and then three different shades of blue for the feathers and wing. There is a piece that gets glued behind the head to create the beak. I cut that from yellow cardstock and colored the part that would show through for the eye black. I assembled the bird with liquid glue and added it to the card base. Finally, I cut the word from the Hello Spring die set using black glossy cardstock and glued that to my card base.

This card shows how quick and easy it is to make an adorable card that is sure to bring a smile to the recipient’s face. I hope it brought a smile to your face today! Thanks so much for joining us on the blog.
