A Birthday Bouquet
by Rachel Duong

Hi everyone! It’s Rachel here with a brightly colored spring floral card. I used the Poppystamps dies, “Handpicked Bouquet” and the “Celebration Banner”. I absolutely love these dies and can’t wait to create tons of floral arrangements.

To create this card, I began by die cutting many colors of blossoms using the Poppystamps 8.5″ x 11″ paper packs in lovely gorgeous colors.  The paper is thick and cuts clean, I highly reccomend them. They are listed below and also on the website.

. I narrowed down the colors  to work with.  For the wrap, I chose the darkest green. From here, I cut the flags in yellows, greens. I cut the base banner in white and adhered the flags on. I glued the blossoms together. Next comes the fun part of arranging the bouquet…it took some time because I wanted it just right!

I cut the patterned paper to leave a white border showing a small white border from the cardbase. The teal paired with the green wrap looked amazing to me. I glued the bouquet and banner onto the paper. Then I chose an Open Studio thick black gold foiled “Greeting Tab”.  I grounded the sentiment over two leaves and overlapped it on the wrap. Added extra cardstock under the last half of the sentiment balanced out it’s height.

Lastly, I glued one tulip blossom falling down from the bouquet to fill in the empty space and to give it movement.  I added Open Studio  “Fairy Jewels” in a light teal surrounding the bouquet.

I hope you are inspired to make a card today! The Poppystamps “Handpicked Bouquet” is a must-have. The possibilities are endless. Until next time, wishing you lots of crafty vibes!
